MoreSustainable Advocacy Network for Awareness and Development (SANAD) was Founded in 2008 as a grass root civil society organization working to advocate for better lives of the vulnerable in local communities and empower women, Youth and children enhance better education, empowered livelihood supports and Rights of women including women participation in governance is realized. We also work to enhance transparency and accountability in the utilization of state funds by state actors through monitoring and awareness campaigns.
We advocate for the most vulnerable children, youth and voice less women in society to engage in meaningful skills trading and raise awareness on issues affecting the communities. Children's education is one of our primary goals. We make sure the voice less in society is heard through continuous engagements and dialogue with the appropriate authorities.
We get funds through individual monthly subscriptions, donations from philanthropists into the organization's bank account, partners/donor funds and project proposals and fund raise shows.
Previously, we have worked with IBIS Sierra Leone in their youth empowerment project in Kono.We are registered with the appropriate legal government institutions in Sierra Leone and banked with commercial banks.
SANAD-SL has a total of 15 functional staff including community volunteers As a gender sensitive organization, SANAD has increased female representation in the administration.
